Happy Golden Birthday TO ME!

Stephen and I truly celebrated in style for my "golden" birthday. 28 on the 28Th! We went out to eat to celebrate both of our birthdays (Stephens is in two weeks) at a fancy restaurant at the Hyatt. Stephen won a coupon to the Santa Ana Cafe and let me tell you, WOW!! It was GREAT and expensive. Good thing we had our coupon. Stephen bought me a cake and a massage; Edward got me a gift certificate to my favorite store, BANANA Republic!! YEAH! Good times are in my future!!

Four Months ALREADY!

Can you believe it has already been 4 short months? These months have been filled with laughter, smiles, and just a tiny bit of crying. Edward is so big!! He is almost 16 pounds and longer than 25 inches! He has grown so much! We look forward to more fun filled months with "Mr. Edward".

San Deigo

Stephen, Edward, and I had a great time on our vacation last week. We started out on Friday night (thinking it would be easier to travel with a 3 month old at night, WRONG) driving to Kingman where my parents live. The first part of the week was spent sitting around and sleeping, or trying to sleep but Edward wanted to wake up and play at 5 AM every morning. He usually wakes up around 6 AM; however, he was on Mountain Standard time which left us with an hour less sleep every night.

Our first stop was the Grand Canyon Caverns. We drove an hour to take an elevator 300 feet below the surface to see the caverns. It was beautiful and as usual Edward slept in his backpack.
Our next stop was Oatman, Arizona. I have never been to see the donkey's that roam the streets of the old mining town and it was pretty cool.
Thursday we woke up early and headed to San Deigo. Our first stop in San Diego was the beach! I love the beach. Edward put his toes in the ocean for the first time in his life! SO CUTE!

Friday we headed over to Sea World. So much fun. I enjoyed all the shows and especially loved the SLL (Sea Lions Live). So hilarious. Edward had one bad moment and that was at the dolphin show. Other than that, Sea World was an awesome adventure.

Saturday we drove to the Wild Animal Park in northern San Deigo then went to the San Diego Zoo. Edward slept through most of the parks but I am sure he will look back on the photos and see he had a great time.

Stephen and I had a great time playing "Ticket to Ride" and beating everyone in the family. Stephen was declared the champion of "Ticket to Ride" and Landon was declared the champion of Bunco.
We drove the long 14 hour drive home with a crying baby and are finally settling back into our routine. While we were in Kingman we got to visit Veronica and Roper's new baby, Cash. He is so tiny. It is hard to believe Edward was that small 4 months ago.

Vacation ends...

Stephen and I had a great time on our vacation to Kingman and San Diego! I will update with pictures as soon as we are home and Edward is settled back in to his routine!

Vacation BEGINS!

Stephen and I have been looking foward to our 10 days of vacation since August... IT is finally here! Pictures soon, I promise!

Embudo Trail

Edward and I have taken to hiking for the summer. I love it because he sleeps most of the time and he loves it because I am holding him the whole time. So far, a win-win situation. Here are a few pic's I took while on the trail.
